We are excited about this opportunity and look forward to showcasing the film in NYC in September.

At 5:30pm today, we showed our 20-minutes to the Vietnam Veterans of America Leadership Conference in Greenville, South Carolina. Aron and I spent most of the day meeting veterans and talking with them about their experiences. During our screening, we weren't sure how many people were going to show up. There was a full house and when the work sample started playing, Aron and I watched the audience. It was a really emotional experience seeing how they connected with the work. They laughed at just the right moments and there were a number of men and women tearing up throughout the showing. After the viewing, there was a Q & A--questions about how the full movie will develop and where it will be shown. At the end, a Vietnam veteran named Juan Eric Cantu stood up and talked about how these scenes from the film touched him and how important it was to get a story of this kind out to a national audience. It was at the moment that both Aron and I realized this film wasn't just a passion for us--but also a story that needed to be told--for current and former veterans. We received a standing ovation from the audience and learned what it means to be a veteran in America. Thank you to all of the veterans who have come out to support this film. You have no idea just how much this means to US!

We met up with our friends Becky and Kevin Lewis in Columbia, South Carolina and toured Fort Jackson, one of the largest training bases in the country! It was a great experience walking through this base and talking with troops. We handed out postcards from the film and hope to have a showing on the base when the film is complete.
